Post Objects is the collaboration between designers, Simon Oosterdijk and Elizabeth Wilson. Their candle design practice observes the forces of nature and the movement of matter. These actions are captured in the moment, using a combination of computer modelling and hand building.

Their first series ‘flow’ references the viscosity of liquid beeswax under the influence of Earth’s gravity. Their second series ‘stream’, observes the upward surge of molten liquid as it’s propelled into the air. All forms are run through dozens of simulations before the right outcome can be selected. The forms are then 3d printed, cast and hand made in small batches. Post Objects candles use 100% natural beeswax and organic cotton wicks.

Post Objects was begun in 2019 in East London, but is currently based in Northland, New Zealand.
